My name is Peter Joseph Quick and I am the youngest son of Arnold Lindsay Quick (1907-1984). Much of the information contained on this website was provided by family members, one of whom, my aunt and Arnold's sister Venus, researched the family tree at its roots in Cornwall.  Other material, especially related to the other branches of the family tree, has been provided by three other family historians, namely Meg Bate, Tania Shalders and Janet Wason.   I am indebted to all these people.

I am constantly in search of new information and, of course, old family photos, as well as the latest information on the current and future members of the family.

FAMILY TREE

As  noted on the Home Page, the basis of this website is to show the descendants of Nathaniel & Susannah Quick, as I am a direct descendant.  But because of the size of the tree, and also because  I wanted to show the links to the earliest Quick in our line to have been identified - Thomas Quick - it is not possible to do this in one family tree on the website. 

Therefore I have divided it into a number of smaller family trees, that I have entitled Custom Family Trees. If you want to see how you relate to Thomas, you should start with your most recent ancestor and work backwards; each of the trees has names that can be followed into another tree, so it should not be too difficult to follow.

I have not shown in detail the other line, that which emanates from Susan & James Quick. I have shown the initial branches of their tree (eg., Jane Williams Quick and Andrew Cameron McQualter) but nothing beyond that. I have such information in my family tree, as well as the ancestry of Susan's husband, James Quick, if a reader of this website is interested in that information.
